Distraction - satanic ploys and strategies to steal and disrupt destiny - Part 2

Good morning brethren, I like to write on a topic “Distraction - satanic ploys and strategies to steal and disrupt destiny - Part 2. Just to recap, distraction is anything that shifts your focus from God’s will to something lesser or even something harmful. In addition, the devil does not only use sin as distraction but may also use - good things at the wrong time, over commitment, emotional entanglements, fear, anxiety, or even pressure, temptation and deception, and also use offence and bitterness. The devil may use fear and intimidation to distract people, just to remind us that fear shifts focus from God’s promise to the enemy’s threat. The story in Nehemiah 6:1–4 tells us how Sanballat and Tobiah repeatedly tried to distract Nehemiah through mockery, threats and even inviting Nehemiah to tricky meetings. Please remember this, to fulfil destiny you will need the courage to ignore intimidation. People and relationships may also be used as a form of distraction. The story of Abraham and his nephew (Lot) in Genesis 13:5-11 is a proof, Lot’s presence brought strife, stagnation, even limited divine instruction. But soon after Lot left, God spoke clearly again (Genesis 13:14). Wrong relationships could disrupt or cloud divine direction. Therefore not everyone connected to your life may be connected to your destiny. Offense and bitterness is another strategy satan uses to distract people. In the story of King Saul in 1 Samuel 18:7-12, we see that instead of the King to focus on his role as a king, leadership, and God’s purpose he became obsessed with David. Then jealousy and insecurity consumed him, nothing blinds spiritual vision like offense. It can make a person to redirect their attention and energy away from purpose towards revenge.

I have left this satanic strategy to the end ‘pride,’ it is one of Satan’s oldest tools against destiny. Pride blinds and it has the ability to destroy people with this spirit, for example Lucifer lost his heavenly assignment through pride (Isaiah 14:12–15). The devil uses distraction to attack destiny with the intention to steal attention, replace purpose with pleasure (2 Timothy 4:10), break people consistency and discipline. Here are few advisory on how to overcome satanic distractions - be sure to keep a focused mindset (Proverbs 4:25), with all your strength guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23), steadfastly resist the devil, keep your eyes on Christ and trust Him alone because He is the source, sustainer, and perfecter of our spiritual journey (Hebrews 12:1–2), discern your relationships with people  and walk with only those who align with your destiny (Proverbs 13:20), build daily spiritual discipline in your prayer life, word meditations and your fellowship with God, practice boundaries setting - Jesus often withdrew from people to protect purpose (Luke 5:16). In conclusion, distraction is a sign that one’s destiny is important and significant and the enemy will only fights what threatens his kingdom. But there is a good news with focus, discernment, and spiritual vigilance, you will finish your course well and successfully in Jesus name.

I pray that God will destroy every plan of the enemy to delay, detour, or derail your destiny in Jesus name (Isaiah 8:10), I pray that the Lord strengthen you to resist the devil and remain unmovable in your divine assignment in Jesus name (James 4:7). Have a wonderful Sunday Service in God’s presence - Mike
