Peace, a message of divine warning

Good morning, brethren, I would like to share on what I have titled “Peace a language of divine warning.” In this context, peace refers to wholeness, completeness, and harmony with God. It is inner rest, calm assurance, and a state of alignment with God’s will. Scripture tells us in Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Peace is not only a blessing; it is also God’s internal alarm system. When peace is obstructed or disturbed, God may be warning or even protecting us from danger, deception, or disobedience. Peace flows from trust and obedience. Let us look at peace as a divine indicator, God often speaks before consequences come, and one of His clearest signals is peace or the lack of it. Colossians 3:15 says, “Let the peace of God rule in your hearts,” where the word rule means to judge or arbitrate.

When peace withdraws, God may be saying, “Stop,” “Wait,” “Review,” “Rethink,” or “Turn back.” Some Biblical examples are Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:8–10), After the fall, fear replaced peace. Their fear was a warning sign of broken fellowship with God before judgment followed. Another example is Jonah, his disobedience led to a storm. Often, the absence of peace precedes storms  (Jonah 1:1–4). Apostle Paul is another example, in Acts 16:6–7, we read how the Holy Spirit restrained Paul from entering certain regions. Direction came through restraint, not vision. God sometimes warns us by closing doors and removing peace. Just for clarity, there are difference between false peace and true peace. False peace is a dangerous calm, it ignores sin and comforts without correction. Not all peace is from God (Jeremiah 6:14). True peace is protective and guards us from wrong decisions. Philippians 4:7 says, “The peace of God… will guard your hearts and minds.”  It is important to reflect on the purpose God may remove peace from someone, it can be as a sign of warning from danger, to expose hidden sin, to prevent wrong relationships or decisions or to redirect destiny. The bible in Isaiah 48:22 says “There is no peace… for the wicked.” Peace and rebellion cannot coexist. Therefore as believers, when your peace seems disturbed; pause, pray to find out if God is revealing something to you, open to the scripture because God never contradicts His Word, seek Godly counsel and repent if necessary. Remember, God’s peace is not only for comfort but also for correction, protection, and direction.

In conclusion, peace is a form of divine communication. Its presence affirms God’s will; its absence warns of danger. Romans 8:6 says, “To be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Service starts at 10:30am and worker’s meeting is at 10:00am. God blessings – Mike
